I'll bet General George Armstrong Custer wished he had a cig when the savage Sioux Indians found him and wiped him out. Famous artist and famous theme, and the slogan, so help us, is "Nature in the raw is seldom mild." The ad department was having a small joke at our expense; how else to figure this quote from Emerson about better mouse-traps, followed by "Does this not explain the world-wide acceptance and approval of Lucky Strike?" Still, you can't complain about an ad that prints a nice N. C. Wyeth for you. Published in the December, 1932 issue of PHOTOPLAY.
