"Yellow Men and Gold." Adventure, the pulp magazine, first issue: November, 1910. Doug Ellis, the owner of the original art for this issue, had the painting restored professionally, and the restorers have written a detailed article about the process now only available on the Wayback Machine, and sadly without some of its illustrations (loads very slowly!).
