Cover art from SUCCESS. A magazine devoted to making you successful! Well, sort of. It carried a lot of different kinds of material, including some fiction. Founded in 1891, it went through several lives before finally expiring in the late 1920s. It seems to have been merged into THE CIRCLE, a general-interest magazine, in the early teens, but was later revived as a separate publication. Mott talks about it in Volume 5, pp. 286-292. SUCCESS in its early days had some very interesting covers by some of the best illustrators of the era.
